Wednesday Wishes: Sock Edition

II can't think of anyone who isn't a sucker for cute socks. My favorites include anything science or dachshund related, but that's just me. :) This week's edition of Wednesday Wishes is completely dedicated to socks: crew, over-the-knee, and just plain silly! They're just too adorable.

Aren't these socks from ASOS absolutely adorable!? They have such a 70s vibe to them, and I absolutely love the way they look with those shoes.

I saw Lauren from JustaCurbSideProphet on YouTube wearing something similar to these, and they looked absolutely adorable on her.

I first discovered these adorable socks on the blog Mermaidens when she posted about the brand Lazy Oaf. I don't think I could find a cuter pair!

I have the other Kimchi Blue socks with Foxes on them (hahaha I know) and these colors are absolutely perfect for fall. I may need to invest in them as well! Find them here.

A good set of floral anything is absolutely a necessity!

With the cooler weather coming in, my sock affinity is starting to show! I actually recently bought some cute over the knee socks from Charlotte Russe. The only issue is my school deems over-the-knee too "suggestive" and we aren't allowed to wear them. Bogus, right? Oh well, I'll deal!

Talk to you later!

OOTD: Into Fall We Go

Hey everyone!
I don't know if I've told you this before, but I go to a private school, and unfortunately we have uniforms. Because this week is homecoming week, we are having casual dress all week long! This look is from Monday, which was Flannel day. I didn't have much time to get a lot of photos, but I managed to take a few before I went out to dinner.

What a sneak

I thrifted this skirt a couple days ago, and I think it's absolutely adorable, and it's a great piece for every season. It can be changed easily with accessory.

Also look how adorable my new boots are. I'm in love.

Autumn Nostalgia

Sigh, I miss having long hair.
I think at this point I really need a new camera charger. This blog is getting ~*lame*~ without it! I apologize. If you want to see more pictures I've taken, go to thepaisleydaisies.blogspot.com, which is my old blog. I started anew back in August or so.

Anyway, I've been really nostalgic recently, which is both good and bad. I keep thinking about last year and how things were wonderful, and now how my high school career is in the last of its lifespan. It's a little freaky. But anyway, I've decided (through looking at my old blog) I'm going to start doing monthly vibes/inspirations with a mood board, a monthly playlist, and a "my month in photos" every month. I'll start with the mood board tomorrow.

I'm hoping this will help me get back into the groove of the school year, and more specifically, being me. I hope you enjoy taking a look into my past.

Going on Seventeen

It's an hour until my birthday, and I'm kind of freaking out.

I'm young for my age (turning 17 and I'm a senior) and I'm a little freaked out about getting older. 17 is a big age: 1. it's my golden birthday and 2. it means I can do a lot of things like see a rated R movie and buy M for mature games.
I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up those days sneaking into R movies by buying a ticket to another movie, or having my mom buy all of my video games for me.
It's a weird feeling.
I always thought of sixteen as the perfect age; you get a taste of freedom while still having restrictions. You have this whole world in front of your newly licensed eyes. I feel like I'm missing that wonder. My birthday just doesn't feel as special. But then again, I have a tendency to romanticize the past.
But basically I'm just sitting here working on my World Religions homework, watching Sherlock, and thinking about life while I wait for my hair to dry. Hmph, maybe I'm just a little scared of getting older. Don't get me wrong, however, I am extremely excited. Just nervous. And I like my birthday because it's a chance to start new.

Product Review: American Apparel High-Waisted Twill Wide Leg Pants

Hello again everyone! My pants finally came (eeeeeeep!)
I'm so excited to review these for you; I've been wanting a pair of red, high-waisted bell bottoms for about two years now. When I found a pair on sale for 50% off at American Apparel, I couldn't resist.
Also I apologize ahead of time for the webcam pictures :( My camera charger decided to disappear.
This is the picture from the site.

I am absolutely smitten with the pants. The color is exactly as shown in the picture above. It's this crushed pear/maroon sort of color. It's absolutely gorgeous.

The length is just right on me, and I'm about 5'8. Shorter people beware: you will probably have to get them hemmed.

They fit like a dream. I'm wearing a size 26, and they're only slightly too short for my torso, but that's expected because I have a long torso. They cinch in my waist and make my legs look incredibly thin and miles long. Basically I feel like a model.

They're offered in four other colors, five in total. I am so peachy with these pants that I'm considering investing in another pair before they sold out. Oh, and they have a totally rad 70s vibe that I'm digging. I just love these pants.

What do you think of my new, snazzy pants?
Talk to you soon!

Wednesday Wishes: Fall Loves

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday!
I know it seems like my blog is suddenly turning into just wishlists, but I promise this will end soon! My birthday is in six days, and I suddenly have the want to scour fashion blogs and websites for new, cute clothes. I have fall fever, and I'm completely obsessed with fall looks. Bye-bye summer!

I am completely in love with this dress, and I am determined to own it at some point or another.

I found some really cute bags that look just like this one on Urban Outfitters for an upwards of $70 (!?!??!?!?). Instead I found this lovely one on Etsy.

I actually already own a Cambridge Satchel, in the color red. I've had it for the past year, and it still looks completely new. I definitely would look into investing in a new one because they're so absolutely cute.

Crop sweaters are one of my new favorite trends. Especially the fuzzy ones.

I've definitely already featured these on my blog before, but I think they're something I can't go without owning this fall. (I have a candy corn obsession)

Dark green is definitely another color I'm looking forward to this season.

Wednesday Wishes: Etsy Edition

Hey guys! It's the middle of the week! Woooooh!
I have actually only one more day of school because I'm going away for the weekend. Anyway, I've been absolutely dying over some of the items I've found recently on Etsy, and I'd love to show them to you. ^_^

I saw this hat on Instagram, and I've been in love with it ever since.

For those of you who don't know,  the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one of my favorite books, and this would make a great addition to my backpack!

Source: StoriedThreads on Etsy
This collar is absolutely enchanting, but my wallet is crying in fear of the price :( Hmmm, maybe a DIY project in the future?...

Source: FilaArcana on Etsy
I've been getting more and more interested in ~mystical~ things recently, and this ring is so simple yet so enchanting.

I also absolutely adore 60s inspired capes.

Although this 60s dress is summery, I think it could be dressed in layers rather well.

And lastly just look how absolutely adorable this coat is. I'd want it in red too!

What are you looking forward to wearing in fall?

On that Elf Status: OOTD

Hello everyone! How was your labor day weekend?
I worked and went thrifting and went to the Renaissance Faire on the last day! It was super fun, and I got all dressed up and had a blast.

I felt like a fairy princess and/or an elf and it was wonderful. I finally got to wear my vintage dress in public without people thinking I look like I belong in the Manson Family!

I went with my boyfriend (Alex) and my super adorable friend, Bailey. I was the only one who dressed up, but I didn't care in the end. I blended in pretty well!

Literally the best!
We got these delicious shave ice things in frozen fruit and I cannot even explain how delicious they are. (We got them last year, and they're definitely one of the main reasons we went again!) I love festivals like these. Being able to dress up and put myself in another world is absolutely amazing,

Not to mention the shopping is to die for!
